The City of Calgary Urban Forestry Department is committed to increasing the tree canopy in Calgary and have selected BGSS to create a new forested area. The new bed is on the East side of the Gardens, parallel to Silver Springs Gate NW. The south end of the forest will be developed by the BGSS rose team as a new rose garden. Bed preparation began at the end of September 2024 and trees will be planted by the City in 2025.
