Next Year - 2017 - marks the 150th Anniversary of our nation!

As part of the national celebration, 150 locations in Canada have been chosen participate in the National Centennial Tulip Planting Project.

So, together with the Edible Vegetable Garden Group and the Silver Springs Community Association, we will be planting 1000 tulips (500 red & 500 white) in the Half Moon Garden area.

On Saturday October 15, 2016: we were so pleased that approximately 70 people attended our Tulip Planting Ceremony. It was a perfect autumn afternoon and an auspicious start to this project!

For the record, this is what the area looked like on October 15, 2016.

We look forward to seeing the area awash with a dramatic array of red and white tulips in the late springs and early summer of Canada's 150th ear of nationhood.
